Associate Members

The Association will have Associate Members and Collaborator Members.

Associate Members will be:

a) The institutions in charge of the surveillance and supervision of banking institutions in the Americas. These institutions must formally join the Association in writing, with the approval of the Assembly; and,

b) The institutions with significant regional responsibilities for bank supervision as a home country supervisor of internationally active banks with operations in the region. These institutions must explicitly request to become Non-Regional Associate Members in writing with the approval of the Assembly after five years of being Collaborator Members with an active participation in the Association’s activities.

Collaborator Members will be:

c) Those institutions that offer its assistance to the Association. Collaborator Members shall have the rights of Associate Members except voting rights and eligibility to become Chairman, Vice-Chairman or Director of the Association.

Each Associate and Collaborator Member will be represented by its highest-ranking executive with responsibility for the supervision and surveillance of banking institutions in its country or whomever the latter would designate before the Association.
